I am a PhD student working on memory and heritage-making beyond the nation-state across East Asia. My major field site is China, where I examine reconciliation, colonial violence and long-term legacies of empire; gendered and diasporic subjectivities.

My academic path began from Media and Chinese Cultural Studies at Sogang University, which gradually led me toward broader questions of cultural politics, migration, and nationalism in East Asia. I hold an MSc China in Comparative Perspective from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where I developed my research interest in the social processes behind urban development and cultural heritage in contemporary China.
